PROJECT 01

Archerfield Airport

YBAF, Brisbane, Australia. An airport reconstruction shaped by airside reference photography, field measurements and a pilot’s view of the details.

Airport development and integration by Dean Mountford. Terminal model developed in collaboration with Alex, credited in the project updates. These images document work in progress.

PROJECT 02

Cone and gable markers

Custom geometry built from measurements and reference photographs, with marker colors matched to Australian standards references. Close-up studies from the August 10 and August 18 updates.

PROJECT 03

Ground markings

Hand-mapped apron paint, runway thresholds and centerlines. The development sequence shows the move from placement studies to custom yellow and red markings.

PROJECT 04

Piper PA-38-112 repaints

Detailed liveries for the Just Flight Tomahawk, published as Hollywood_TG on Flightsim.to. Repainting also informs my testing of surface materials and aircraft detail.

PROJECT 05

Brisbane City

City scenery and recognizable landmarks. This image is from the supplied 2015 Ultimate VFR portfolio; current work continues in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.

PROJECT 06

UltimateVFR

Photographic scenery across cities, coastlines and mountain regions for FSX and Prepar3D. Selected work from the Mission Aware Technologies product portfolio.

PROJECT 07

Terrain databases

Elevation and imagery form the foundation. NEXTMap ProMesh, high-resolution VFR terrain and the processing behind water masks, vegetation and building data.

Images from Dean Mountford’s March 2015 product and development portfolio. Legacy examples are labeled separately from current MSFS work.

PROJECT 08

Ditto-3D

Detailed digital-twin models for flight simulation, film VFX, real-estate visualization, industry and Unreal Engine. Mission Aware Technologies became Ditto-3D in 2026.

EXPERIENCE

From flight testing
to world building.

I develop simulation content through Ditto-3D, formerly Mission Aware Technologies. My work spans scenery, aircraft repaints, SimConnect modules and digital-twin assets.

Simulation development

Microsoft FSX beta-team member and FS11 Design Advisory Board participant. Contract technical design for Dovetail Games, covering weather, airport data, scenery, ATC and AI.

Aircraft testing

Recent Just Flight Tomahawk reports led to corrections to a PBR surface defect and asymmetric stall-strip placement. Stall-warning behavior remains under investigation.

Aviation foundation

CASA private-pilot qualification, with 57.6 pilot hours and experience flying the Tomahawk, Cessna 152 and Van’s RV-7A. FAA Part 107 and Australian CASA RPA drone qualifications.
